Welcome to

The Cria Barn at Cranberry Creek

Our farm, The Cria Barn at Cranberry Creek is situated in Northwestern Ohio, along the meandering Cranberry Creek. Since our beginning in 1996, our herd has grown and so has our love and knowledge of alpacas. We truly enjoy our alpacas and are excited about sharing information with established breeders and anxious to introduce prospective owners to the industry.
We use a "hands on" approach and spend quite a bit of time with our alpacas. Consequently, our animals feel very comfortable with people, and are easy to halter, lead and manage. We are constantly improving our breeding program. We strive to provide the most desirable animal by carefully selecting herdsires and breeding females for their genetic diversity, sound conformation, superior fiber characteristics, unique color, and gentle disposition.

We achieve this goal by including genetics from some of the top herdsires in the country - PPPeruvian Grand Master, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, PPPeruvian Mr. President, Camilio’s Accoyo Endurance, NWA, LTD. Accoyo’s Goldsmith, NWA, LTD. Predictor, and of course by breeding our females to our own wonderful selection of herdsires - Nic Nac, Victor’s Vaccoyo, MFI Accoyo Peruvian Avalanche, Patagonia’s Cortez, and Peruvian Zephyrus.

We are fully committed to the exciting lifestyle, friendships, and rewards that the alpaca industry provides. We entered the alpaca business hoping to provide an investment and lifestyle that we could share with our children and grandchildren. The biggest reward is when we are called "Grandpa and Grandma Paca". Butterfly kisses from grandchildren and alpacas - nothing could be better!
